The Bighorns struck early when Alan Salgado scored in the 16th minute off an assist from Lazzar Ramos. Mohave extended its lead in the 35th minute when Dominic Portale connected on a goal assisted by Mauricio Velazquez, sending the team into halftime up 2–0.
Arizona Western answered in the 56th minute with a goal by Noah Segura, but Mohave quickly regained control. Lazzar Ramos sealed the win with an unassisted goal in the 82nd minute — his second goal involvement of the night.
Goalkeeper Chase Radford earned the win in goal for Mohave College, anchoring a defense that limited Arizona Western to just one goal.
The Bighorns improved their record with the home victory and continue to climb the national rankings in their inaugural season.
