The Mohave College women’s soccer team returned to form with a 4-2 victory over College of Southern Nevada at home.

The Bighorns took control early, with first-half goals from Paola Cruz, assisted by Estephanie Montiel-Silva, Alexia DeSantiago, assisted by Brianne Kumashiro, and Kellsie Littlewood. Magaly Guzman-Lopez added a second-half goal, assisted by Jaquelin Godoy, securing the win. Mohave outshot their opponents 25-15, demonstrating strong, controlled play throughout the match.
“After a couple of tough results, our women’s team re-focused last week and bounced back with impressive wins over Nelson and rival CSN. Those victories put us in the playoff picture, with our biggest games of the season still ahead in the next two weeks. This week will be a challenge and a great one for Bighorn Women’s Soccer,” said Robert Podeyn, women’s head coach.
Their previously scheduled match at Arizona Western College Sept. 27 was canceled due to weather but it’s now postponed to Oct. 24. Looking ahead, the team will face Cochise College at 11 a.m., Oct. 4, followed by a home match against Yavapai College at 4:30 p.m., Oct. 11.
