Bighorns claim another home victory

The Mohave College men’s soccer team stayed hot on Saturday night, taking down Long Beach City College 3-1 at Firebird Field.

The Bighorns struck early as Lazzar Ramos scored just 90 seconds in off a feed from Brayan Lino. Ramos doubled the lead in the 19th minute with help from Dominic Portale. After Long Beach City cut the deficit to 2-1 early in the second half, Lino answered back with an unassisted goal in the 63rd minute to put the match away.

Mohave College returns home Saturday, Sept. 20, for a doubleheader against Eastern Arizona College. The women’s team plays at 4:30 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m. The Bighorns will also host Nelson University on Tuesday, Sept. 23, with the women’s match at 3 p.m. and the men’s at 5:30 p.m.
