Bighorns battle Long Beach City at home

The Mohave College women’s soccer team battled to a 0-3 against Long Beach City College Saturday night at Firebird Field.

Goalkeepers Lana Stevens and Evelyn Montiel-Silva combined for 12 saves, with Montiel-Silva shutting down seven shots in the second half to preserve the clean sheet. On the attack, Kellsie Littlewood led the Bighorns with four shots, while Alayna Littlewood and Estephanie Montiel-Silva each forced saves to keep the pressure on late.

Mohave College returns home next Saturday, Sept. 20, for a doubleheader against Eastern Arizona College. The women’s team plays at 4:30 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m. The Bighorns are also back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 23, when they host Nelson University. The women’s match kicks off at 3 p.m. and the men follow at 5:30 p.m.
